PROFESSOR OF MATHEMATICS
XIAMEN UNIVERSITY MALAYSIA
Hello, my name is Darren C. Ong (Darren Ong Chung Lee, or 王忠理), and here is my CV, and here is a list of my papers. I am a Professor of Mathematics at Xiamen University Malaysia. My main research interests are spectral theory and mathematical physics, with a current focus on studying Schrödinger, Jacobi and CMV operators. I received my PhD from Rice University under David Damanik, and I was a postdoc at the University of Oklahoma.
I am a member of the editorial board of the Bulletin of the Malaysian Mathematical Sciences Society and the author of a children's book, The Trampolines that Nadia Built, published by Epigram Books.
I am also interested in art that uses mathematical ideas like aperiodic order in an interesting way. Click here to see a selection of my art.
